This Privacy Policy describes how Dr. G Pediatrics ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website at doctorgpeds.com (the "Site"). This policy does not apply to protected health information (PHI), which is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA.

Information We Collect

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our web hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically collects certain information sent by your browser, including:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Date and time of your visit

This information is used to maintain the security and operation of the Site, to monitor aggregate usage patterns, and to improve our services. Cloudflare's collection and use of this data is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Information you provide directly

The Site currently does not include contact forms, account registration, or newsletter signups. If you call, email, or visit our office, that information is handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Please do not use regular email for urgent medical issues, emergencies, or highly sensitive medical information unless our office specifically instructs you to do so through an appropriate secure process.

Third-party embeds

The Site may include embedded third-party services. These services may collect information about you independently. We do not control what data these third parties collect. The current third-party services used are:

  • Google Reviews — We display publicly available Google reviews using the Google Places API. This fetches review data when you visit our reviews page. Reviewer profile images may be loaded from Google-controlled domains by your browser. Google's collection and use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

  • To operate and maintain the Site
  • To detect and prevent security threats, fraud, and abuse
  • To monitor aggregate Site usage and analyze trends
  • To comply with legal obligations

Cookies

The Site does not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies for security and performance. If we add analytics or other services in the future, this policy will be updated to reflect any cookies they set.

Do Not Track

The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because it does not use analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking technologies. Third-party services linked from or displayed on the Site may handle those signals according to their own privacy policies.

How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers — We share data with third-party service providers, such as Cloudflare and Google, as necessary to operate the Site and provide services.
  • For legal compliance — We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
  • To protect rights — We may disclose information to protect the safety, rights, or property of Dr. G Pediatrics, our patients, or the public.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which provides DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF) services, and TLS encryption. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain server logs and automatically collected information for as long as necessary to operate the Site and comply with legal obligations. Information collected by third-party services is retained by those services according to their own retention policies.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.
